Excel Learning Academy
There aren't many options in the Tampa Bay area for students with special needs to attend a school that can fully address their educational and behavioral goals. Students with autism spectrum disorder, other developmental disabilities, behavior disorders, or similar diagnoses have unique needs, and they have a right to those needs being met.
It can be a difficult, and often emotional, experience for all involved being met with continued rejection and having a lack of success with their educational journey. We opened Excel Learning Academy in August 2023 to provide that individualized support for the students with the most severe behavioral challenges and needs; we are committed to being the school setting where these students succeed.
Our Mission
Our mission is to serve underserved individuals by providing students with special needs and challenges an individualized, science-driven, and effective academic experience. We aim to meet the unique educational needs of our students by embedding essential life skills into academic curriculum. Providing an individualized, comprehensive learning program to our students will give them the best chance of accessing a higher quality of life while learning to advocate for themselves and becoming more independent. We are committed to prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of our students with quality and compassionate teaching methods. We promise to treat each and every student with care, compassion, and acceptance not despite, but because of their unique needs.
