Who We Are
Behavior Initiatives Research Institute is a non-profit organization located in Tampa, Florida that is dedicated to evaluating and disseminating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) research. We use this research to create initiatives to benefit our community.
What We Do
This institute conducts research and evidence-based practice related to ABA service implementation and principles to add to the existing literature of treatment for Autism and other developmental disabilities or special needs.
We develop initiatives that expand our reach of providing effective, science-driven treatment, by:
- translating research findings to socially significant settings
- offering scholarships or cost-effective services to those in need of behavior analytic treatment who are ineligible to obtain funding
- consulting with members of our community who could benefit from behavior improvements
- providing private education services to individuals with special educational needs
Our Mission
Our vision is to contribute valuable, science-driven knowledge to the community in efforts to improve the lives of all individuals who are a part of it. Our research lab is dedicated to solving complex problems related to behavior deficits and excesses with pragmatic, socially significant solutions.
Our mission is to advance what is known about behavior analysis by conducting research studies that answer important questions. We aim to apply this knowledge to initiatives that will benefit members of our community, with an emphasis on individuals who engage in challenging behavior.
